Oil on wet gesso
6"x 10" oil on gessoed woodblock. This was a very experimental piece. I was into
trying new things with oil so I painted a thick
layer of gesso onto woodblock then painted the oil into
the drying gesso. The white gesso is water based so
it does'nt mix with the oil allowing more pure color
movement and sculpting.
